Our 9th Grade Confirmation program here at St. Therese is designed to meet the educational and spiritual needs of our teenagers. Our meetings can be split in two parts.

The first portion focuses on the main teaching for the evening. For the main teaching, we use a DVD series called T3: The Teen Timeline, for the first half of the year.  In the second half, we invite guest speakers to come in and speak to the youth about topics of our Faith. Once they finish watching the DVD/listening to the speaker, the youth are split into small groups to discuss the main teaching.

The second portion focuses on John Paul II's Theology of the Body. See below for more information on Theology of the Body.

Our Confirmation program also includes an Opening Retreat. The Opening Retreat gives the youth an opportunity to get to know their small group, introduces them to T3, and challenges them to really begin their faith journey to Confirmation.

There is a two day Spring Retreat included in the program. This retreat will be a time for the youth to get away from all the pressures this world puts on them and to focus on their relationship with God. Throughout the retreat there will be skits performed by high school teens, guest speakers, a time for Reconciliation, and much more.

Our Confirmation process as a whole challenges the teens to claim their faith as their own and begin to form a relationship with Christ. We remind them that Confirmation is not a graduation from Religious Education but just the beginning of their faith journey.
